Check out this clear Valkyrie set from last weekend.

The Valkyrie features two different wire gauges hence why one coil has a standard copper wire (the 44awg coil), and the other has a red copper wire (the 42awg coil).

This set also features an A5 bridge, A2 neck, and nickel hex poles.

What have I been up to this weekend I know you're asking?

Well, here's some of the things I finished.

First set is a custom mini hum-Mini P90-Mini hum set for @akm_guitarworks, with ceramic bridge and neck pickups and an Alnico V P90. That P90 may be mini but it packs a full sized HSP90 coil. Mini form factor, mighty tone.

Second image is a clear Trident 2, has a ceramic bar, nickel hex poles, and has been made to be direct mounted.

Third image was some warranty work, customer said the pickup was very prone to feedback at high volume. I replaced the original M3 screws with set screw style hex screws, redid the wax potting, and put it back together.

And the final image is a zebra Trident 2 set, this one with A5 bar magnets, black hex poles, and direct mount baseplates.

Just finished up this HSS Valkyrie set for @deangordonguitars.

This set was a challenge, not gonna lie. The tops are cnc cut brown Delrin, which is difficult to get to bond to other materials. Took a lot of trial and error to find a solution for that. The tops have a cross hatch texture on them, cut with a V bit on my CNC, made to have a similar effect to the watch the customer has.

This set features a ceramic bridge, A5 middle, and A2 neck. Can't wait to see the rest of the guitar they're going in, very chuffed with how the final product came out.

First order is one for our friends at @xolocustomguitars. This one is a Trident bridge with ceramic bar magnet, nickel hex poles, and a white top.

Next set is a soapbar Valkyrie 7 string set, featuring A5 bar magnets and nickel hex poles.

Last order is a Trident 2 bridge, with ceramic bar magnet and black hex poles. Direct mount for fitment in an Ibanez Prestige.

Hey everyone, little update. I've been laid up with the flu most of the last week. Before it took hold, I wound as many orders as I could to try to get ahead of the queue. Still dealing with this, still feeling like garbage and not yet able to work again.

I dug out this picture of a weird triple coil I built years ago, it was a near concept and I got a wind I really liked, but then did another rewind and it became I wind I didn't like and I stopped working on it. It looks so similar to the hum canceling single I posted recently. The triple coil was also the precursor to my MHP90 design, which combines a HSP90 coil and a mini hum coil to make a humbucker with fun splits.

Anyways, I've got an appointment tomorrow morning to try and get some meds, hopefully I can get over this crap and get back to work soon. Thanks for understanding.

This morning while I was building pickups, I had an idea that consumed me until I executed it. A hum canceling single coil in a humbucker format, with the magnetic poles outside of the stacked single coil. Quickly whipped up a prototype and tested it out. This design shows a lot of promise, the tone is very much like a single coil, but still has good output. Need to test with different wire gauges and magnet arrangements, but this could be a cool option for someone who wants a single coil in a humbucker format. I think this could also work in an HSP90 pickup. There probably isn't a ton of market for a pickup like this, but I'm always trying to push the boundaries.

I do a ton of 3d printing to make a lot of my pickups, and they means I do a ton of CAD work. Recently I started a project to make my Spacemouse much more usable by integrating a programmable keypad. Today everything came together to a finished, cohesive unit. The silver part was an existing model, the black part with the keypad is entirely my creation. Spacemouses with extra buttons usually cost a LOT more than the wireless unit seen here, but I was able to do this for under $30 (I already own the Spacemouse). Huge savings over the prebult unit.
